Meet Hillery and Kasey.. Their wedding was at Barnsley Gardens. Everything was most beautiful and the weather was perfect. They were such a fun couple and I enjoyed celebrating and documenting their day!

Hmm..I am jealous of their photographs and would climb a mountain to go back and photograph my wedding in a more "photojournalistic" style..

Meet Trouble 1, Fordham and Trouble 2, Annie Rose..

Fordham is my nephew. He calls me "Sissy" and I love him very very much.

Meet Trouble 2, Annie Rose..She is my little girl and is a sunshine to all of us.

Trouble 1 and Trouble 2 are very easy going little ones EXCEPT when they are together.. They just laugh and laugh and try to conjure up things to keep us on our toes. The last little incident was throwing baby powder all over Trouble 1's room..I doubted they would ever do such a thing again after the trouble they got into, but we caught them hiding in the corner last time saying, "Let's go throw powder again." That is when i stepped in, being the 1st born child that I am, and dared them to do it again! ha ha I can't even think of the teenage years yet...

Needless to say, they love each other deeply..

Have I mentioned how much I love this girl? Never, right?.. LOL!

I adore my 2 big boys too and I will post on them very soon! I had to give them a break from the camera this go' round. They were very happy, too! The last time, we were on vacation I wore them slap out with the camera!

Now..Meet Sweet Jack..

He is my other nephew and I think he might be the easiest and sweetest baby in this big world. He did not peep at Thanksgiving. Even during our little mini 15 minute photo shoot, when he was soo very tired, he continued to smile. If they were all had the demeanor of Jack, we will all have 5 children, easily. I promised his sweet Mama I would not post some of his Christmas card shots, so will leave you with one of him for now. Christmas shots will come later..

Well this was my last family session of the year. I am taking off the month of December to be with friends and family. One wedding next weekend and then I am done for the year. I am thankful for so many blessings this Thanksgiving season and especially all my sweet families that make Shelli Allen Photography what it is today.. thank you!

The morning of the session it was raining on and off pretty much the entire time. Fortunately, our surroundings were pretty close to absolute perfect with all the covered porches, etc.. so rain or shine we were good. . I spotted the yellow leaves the minute I walked up. As soon as the showers subsided, I stuck them out and shot away. They were so easy going and so up for anything.. I love love love....

This session made me SOOO HAPPY! When I chatted with Mom about their session, all she requested is that I capture their everyday life, which includes their daily walk around the neighborhood. Not only did I appreciate her simplicity, it also made me appreciate the “little things.” I had the pleasure of not only “following” their little walk, but also “capturing” it.

This is my very very favorite! I ADORE the eyelet bloomers and those precious little hands! My how they grow so fast..! I look back now at my 8, 6, and 3 year old and it seems so long ago I had hands like this in my house. Oh how I miss it and would give anything to have a photograph like this to remind me of those days..

My heart has been so full and overjoyed this week after visiting a little girl named Lainey. God made Lainey very special.. She was born with a condition called Spina Bifida. It is a birth defect that involves the incomplete development of the spinal cord or its coverings. It was the highlight of my month and will be for a very long time. I felt so honored to be able to be entrusted with her...to look thru my lens and capture this precious angel. Her smile warms a room as you can see above. I felt so blessed and honored to be a part of their lives...even just for this short while. Here is a little sneak peek for Lainey's Mommy!

Meet Lyall, Abbey, and Parker! 3 fun kids that liked to climb trees, bug hunt, run and play..SPUNKY and I loved it! They are a super cool family! Mom and Dad are both artist and the whole family has such a fun flair about them! I could have talked to them for hours on end! I LOVE art and am so intrigued by such an amazing talent. The dad, Steve Penley, has an exhibit at The World of Coke in Atlanta that is pretty much amazing! These were my 3 little angels on earth..! Meet Mary Claire, Caroline and Scarlett! I was their little playmate and had a great time! Being a mom of 2 boys and 1 girl, I told the Mom of these angels that life seemed so quiet and calm in her little world..She laughed!! ha ha They were pretty much "plumb perfect" for me! Meet the Suhr Family..! The sweetest Christian family with 2 amazing Godly parents and 3 amazing kids!!.. Mom was really wanting a great family portrait, as well as individuals, before her daughter Abby (on right) heads to the University of Georgia!! The kids were so energized and very entertaining for me! I always get a big kick out of teenage boys' reactions and comments when they realize not only will there be family shots, but individual shots, as well... Dillon, pictured on the left, who is the one of the most polite young men I know, gave me the best one liner ever when I told him it was time for his individual shots... He says in the most sweetest, most polite voice ever, " You are kidding, right!?" I said, "No sir, I am not..!" I died laughing!! He was trying soo hard to be as sweet and patient with me as he could be, but honestly thought i was playing a little joke on him! I think he realized it wasn't that bad! ha ha Good laugh for his sisters and me! Thank you Dillon for being such a gentleman! I think this Mom will be very proud to have these. You can't go back in time and capture this moment. Thank you Suhr Family!

Meet the LEE family! This shoot was fun to plan for my assistant, Garrett and I. Our creative energies kicked in full gear as we collaborated with the family to portray their lives in the fashion and music industries. Mom, Stephanie, is owner of the most adorable children's clothing boutique, The Pink Elephant. It is located off Whitlock Avenue in Marietta. You have to check it out and they have an online store, as well! Daddy, Mark, is the guitarist for the multi-platinum-selling Christian rock band, Third Day! , Abbie and Kitty, their precious daughters, were adorable and knew how to turn it on!! They were a delight to photograph as their sparkling smiles were easy to capture through the lens.

Meet Liza..isn't she a doll? Liza lives in St. Simons, Georgia and her grandparents live in an old home in historic Marietta. We took full advantage of the charm and character of the home and you will see in MORE TO FOLLOW!... Deciding to post in black and white or color was hard. Meet Anna, and identical twins.. Kaitlyn and Abbey! This family session was held at Watercolor, Florida. It was so nice to have a beautiful change of scenery! This family was so happy to be there and giggled..a breath of fresh air for sure! They got a big kick out of me because I had the hardest time trying to keep the twins names straight..! I would photograph one twin individually and then forget which one i took because THEY LOOK THE EXACT SAME!!! They kept me in line thankfully! The Mom of these 3 cuties was both of my son's kindergarten teacher and I adore her! It was a fun time!

Meet Andrew and Bella.. This session was in high hopes for a great shot for a gallery wrapped canvas for Andrew.. Can you believe those LIPS? And NO, i did NOT create them!? My friend, John Logan, from a few post ago, and Andrew are almost too pretty to be 2 and 3 year old little boys!!! I am sure you couldn't agree more..! Big Sister, Bella, came along to be my helper.. Meet Baby Wynn...! He is the 3rd little boy of this family and the EASIEST, MOST LAID BACK little man! Not one ounce of fussing, crying, etc.. He was very patient with the "strange girl with the camera" that was continuing to move him in and out, changing his clothes, etc.. Wynn has 2 older brothers that are the most beautiful little boys, as well! I tell this Mommy she is going to have her hands full trying to swat all the girls away when they are much older!! His name is Everett and he is cute cute!! I had so much fun with this family!! They were given a session as a gift certificate at their baby shower before "baby boy" was born. Everett's grandparents live on some amazing land in Woodstock..what i call a little piece of heaven! It was tucked away on a little dirt road and absolutely beautiful! He really put on a show for us and we all were laughing soo hard! I love what I do because it brings joy to my heart to see families so in love with these precious gifts God has given them. I adored this session! The Mom of these 3 little angels wanted it to be all about "little girls"!! I always tell my clients when we are coming up with ideas and thoughts about the session: "Think what you want to remember one day when you have just a memory to live by".. We brainstormed and this is what she wanted to remember and I think it couldn't be a cuter idea! She let me have free reign and I took full advantage of it!! Meet Maddox, Mary Hollis, and Millie..!!
